OVERVIEW
At Wings of Eagles, we’re dedicated to ensuring that your experience as a pilot is defined by safety and proficiency. We offer Spin Training and Advanced Stall Recovery classes for all pilots and a Pinch Hitter’s Course for frequent passengers.
SPIN TRAINING AND ADVANCED STALL RECOVERY
Whether you’re working toward your Flight Instructor certificate (CFI) or simply want to build confidence in your flying abilities, our Spin Training and Advanced Stall Recovery class is uniquely valuable to all pilots.
Half-day class: 1-2 hours of ground, 1-1.5 hours of flight with a CFI in a Utility Category Cessna 172
Hands-on experience performing and recovering from advanced stalls and spins
Cost: $600
Location: Wings of Eagles Smyrna (MQY) or Harmony Air (JWN)
Upon completion, you’ll receive your Spin Endorsement

Requirements: Private Pilot License
Terms and Conditions:
- CANCELLATION POLICY: You are permitted to cancel or move your Spin Training and Advanced Stall Recovery class 24 hours before your scheduled flight.
- WEATHER POLICY: Safety is our top priority, and we want you to enjoy your flight. That means we want good weather on the day of your Spin Training and Advanced Stall Recovery class. If the weather is not cooperating on your scheduled day, we will contact you to reschedule.
PINCH HITTER’S COURSE
If you are a regular flying partner, becoming a Pinch Hitter is one of the safest choices you can make. With both ground and flight lessons, you’ll learn to maneuver an airplane in flight, communicate your situation, and land the plane. You’ll become more than just a passenger!
What you’ll learn:
- The Airplane and the Cockpit: getting oriented with your instruments
- Preflight Basics: detecting issues early
- Flight Controls: controlling the plane in climbs, descents, straight and level flight, and turns
- Communications: speaking with ATC and on CTAF
- Basic Navigation and Orientation: finding the nearest airport
- Airport Operations: finding your runway
- Emergency Scenarios: safely handling a pilot incapacitation and landing the plane
Half-day class: 2 hours of ground, 1.5 hours of flight with a CFI
