Join us for a very special GLIDER DAY from Wings of Eagles Aviation and Eagleville Soaring Club!
Eagleville Soaring Club is a Soaring Society of America (SSA) Chapter Club operation located at Puckett Gliderport (50M), approximately 30 miles south of Nashville. They have been flying gliders in Eagleville, TN, since the 1950s. We’re so excited to be partnering with them for a special glider day on October 13, 2026.
Why we recommend all pilots get some glider training: Mastering stick-and-rudder knowledge and skills is at the heart of glider training. You will hear, see, and feel exactly how the stick and rudder affect the aircraft.
Who:
- Pilots, students, friends, and family can all participate!
- You do not need to be a current Wings of Eagles student to join us.
- Weight limit is 240 lbs.
- This is an especially great idea for young pilots, as you can solo a glider as young as 14, but we recommend glider training to all pilots looking to advance their stick-and-rudder skills.
When: Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Gliding will begin at 11 a.m., with spaces available morning and afternoon.
Where: Puckett Gliderport at 50M
Cost: $180 — towed to 3,000′ AGL with CFI-G Evan Schaeffer or Tom Steinkamp
