Aaron Turner
CFI, CFII, MEI
My Responsibilities
To use current instructional techniques and delivery methods to teach students how to safely and efficiently fly an aircraft. This involves customized lesson plans for the level of experience of each student and their learning style.
My Bio
I grew up in a family of six on a farm in a small town outside of Louisville, Kentucky. My first flight was when I was ten years old trying to earn my aviation badge in Boy Scouts. In 2013 I took my first serious step towards a career in aviation by enrolling in an Aeronautical degree program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and starting private lessons. I worked my way through flight training over the next several years as I moved across four different states. I am now at the point that I can confidently pass on my knowledge and experience to other pilots that share the same dream as myself!
My Hobbies
I enjoy physical activities like playing sports, spending time outdoors, and going on adventures to new places with my wife.
My Favorite Thing About Wings
I was making great progress with my Flight Instructor in Milwaukee and was disappointed about having to relocate to Nashville and start fresh with an organization. Wings made that transition simple for me – I completed my Instrument, Commercial, and CFI + CFII with Wings. I found the instructors to be relaxed, competent, available, and friendly. The connection a student has with their instructor is very important and this is something that I bring with me as an instructor now.
My Motto
If you don’t try, you can’t succeed..
My Message to You
I know how much work it is to do anything in the aviation field. As someone who had to work to pay for every flight lesson, I understand that your time is just as valuable as mine. I come to each lesson prepared and am confident in my knowledge, understanding, and abilities to teach, have fun, and be safe.
