Brogan Cook
CFI
My Responsibilities
My job as a flight instructor is to pass along knowledge to you in a safe, efficient, and fun way. As CFIs, we don’t know everything. I am constantly learning new things about myself as a pilot and about aviation, and I look forward to sharing that information with you in this awesome environment!
My Bio
I was raised in Franklin, TN, and have spent most of my life here aside from a short bout in Dallas, TX. I traveled a lot as a kid, which is probably why I developed such a strong passion for aviation. By the age of 17, I had been to 6 of the 7 continents-Antarctica someday! My time spent on giant airplanes staring into the sky established a dream that would someday become reality… I feel blessed to be in this
position as a CFI at Wings. I have a bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship from Liberty University, which I utilize to operate an exterior cleaning business in Spring Hill, TN. I completed nearly all my flight training Part 61 right here in Smyrna in our family’s Cessna 150 and Cherokee 180. We have since sold those planes, and own a 1964 S-35 Beechcraft Bonanza, hangered here at Smyrna. I got married to my lovely wife in 2021, and we welcomed our first child in August 2022- we also have a very energetic Golden Doodle named Bear. I look forward to flying and getting to know each of you- until then, Happy Flying, and keep the blue side up!
My Hobbies
Spending time with my wife and son, watching sports on TV, playing golf, skiing, attending Nashville SC games, and traveling to new places!
My Favorite Thing About Wings
My favorite thing about Wings is the environment. From the moment you step through the doors, you are immediately a part of the Wings family- not “just another student.” Also, the ability to train in a towered environment provides you with excelled skills that will fast-track your radio confidence.
My Motto
“There are old pilots; there are bold pilots; but there are no old, bold pilots.” Be safe, be smart, and have fun- that’s what you’re here for!
My Message to You
Flight training can be challenging at times. Sometimes, weather gets in the way. Don’t let the difficult days sway your focus! Come to each lesson prepared, work hard, and every step of this journey will be worth it. Just imagine yourself sitting left seat with four stripes on each shoulder- if that’s what you hope to achieve, it’s within reach here at Wings!
