My Responsibilities
My main responsibility as a flight instructor is to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment. I like to instill the basic concepts of aviation in students so that they understand that good pilots are always learning, regardless of how much they may already know. A pilot’s goal should always be to improve and become a safer pilot.
My Bio
I was born just outside of Orlando, Florida but grew up mainly in the Middle Tennessee area. Growing up as a child in Florida, I was able to witness the “space race” first hand and watch the rockets and shuttles launch from Cape Canaveral, as well as the planes take off and land from Orlando International Airport. With a strong interest in aviation already planted, I started learning to fly at the age of 15 with my father. I graduated from MTSU with a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace in 1992. My goals took a slight turn and I have worked in law enforcement for over 25 years with a major police department in Tennessee, enjoying my career and serving my community. However, I am looking forward to retirement and pursuing a second career in aviation.
My Hobbies
Flying, working out, scuba diving, outdoors, and spending time with my wife and two kids.
