Certified Instructor: CFI; CFII; MEI; American Bonanza Society’s BPPP
To provide instruction, help and support where I can in the Aviation community. It’s not just about teaching, it’s about making people feel a part of Aviation. Introducing new students to aviation and the community that it supports. I enjoy guiding the student through the process from introducing him to an aircraft to introducing him to the examiner. Showing them how much smaller the world can be by using General Aviation.
Born in Murray, KY. Started flying during college, as if I didn’t have enough to do. Like a lot of people, I cut grass, pumped gas or whatever it took to fly. I’ve continued to add ratings over the next several years. I moved to the Nashville area in 1981 and it’s now home. I’ve owned a few planes from a J4 to a Baron. I currently own a Classis Bonanza. I really enjoy cross countries. I plan on retiring from my real job soon and teach flying almost full time. My real job is a New Product Development Engineer for Electrolux Major Appliances in Springfield.
Flying, motorcycling and traveling.
My Favorite Thing About Wings
My fellow instructors, are all great people and strongly support the Aviation Community.
Can the magic of flight ever be carried by words? I think not.

My Message to You
We are striving to provide competent, meaningful, enjoyable instruction at a competitive price. I believe you’ll find this true if we’re given the chance to work with you. People learn at different speeds, different ways and all have different needs. A good instructor can work with you and help make learning to fly exciting, safe, and above all fun! If you’re not having fun, why do it? We have a variety of aircraft and programs. Give us a chance to be your flight school.
